Science Connects holds the STEMNET contract for brokerage of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical activities to primary and secondary schools for the West of Scotland. Science Connects can give you advice on which STEM activities are available in this region, what pupil level the activities are suitable for, and how they link to the Curriculum for Excellence.
STEM Ambassadors
Science Connects holds the STEMNET contract for STEM Ambassadors (formerly SEAs) for the West of Scotland. STEM Ambassadors give a few hours of their time to help inspire young people in STEM by giving career talks, helping with activities in the classroom or at science festivals. If you would like to register as a STEM Ambassador or if you are already registered and wish to view or change or update your details please go to STEMNET STEM Ambassadors or contact Science Connects for more information. - Glasgow Science Centre

An exciting science, arts and learning festival in June based at the University of Glasgow. A huge range of lively and interactive activities.

National Science and Engineering Week
National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW) is a ten day programme of science, engineering and technology events and activities across the UK aimed at people of all ages. Next year National Science and Engineering Week 2010 will be from 12 - 21 March and the theme will be 'Earth' This coud be anything from Earth's amazing phenomenon, Earth and it's wildlife, Earth's place in the Universe and People and the Earth.

Greenfaulds High School P7, S1 and S2 Science Fair
Pupils from P7, S1 and S2 will have previously carried out an investigation in their own time and then produce a demonstration or display to show at the Science Fair on the Tuesday evening. The aim of the Science Fair is to raise awareness of National Science week, to show Science in everyday contexts and to assist with our primary/secondary transition. The Science Fair is being funded by a grant from National Science and Engineering Week, the Scottish Government and British Science Association.

IMAGINEERING, introducing 8-16 year olds to the fascinating world of engineering.
- AAA Maths
AAA Math features a comprehensive set of interactive arithmetic lessons.
- BMFA Education Programme
The BMFA education programme aims to encourage youngsters to build and fly model aircraft and so develop new skills and gain an insight into the science and technology of flight.

- Engeneration
Engeneration is a free-to-join membership scheme for all 13 - 19 year old students of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, including the Engineering Diploma and other qualifications that can lead to a career in Engineering.
- Engineering the Future
Engineering the Future (EtF) is an EPSRC funded project based in the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow which is exploring ways of meeting the major challenge facing engineering: the predicted and growing shortfall between the numbers currently entering engineering and future demand.
- Learning Grid Directory

- Survival Rivals Experiments for schools inspired by Darwin
Hands-on experiments, inspired by Darwin and free of charge to UK state secondary schools. Plus free online resources for all schools.
- The Scottish Network for Able Pupils (SNAP)
The Scottish Network for Able Pupils (SNAP) runs courses and workshops for teachers and able pupils. SNAP is working across the UK with schools and Education Authorities and also gives keynote addresses and advice to parents.
- Think Darwin, Think Evolution, Think Now
Think Darwin, Think Evolution, Think Now has been produced by SIBE (Scottish Initiative for Biotechnology Education) at The University of Edinburgh to celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin.
- UK School Seismology Project
The sheer destructive power of earthquakes has always held a fascination for children. This project capitalises on this natural interest by making use of earthquakes and seismology as a unifying theme to teach a range of basic science concepts.
