Showcase Evening for Science & Computing - Falkirk Campus
State of the art facilities on display 21 January '09 -

Our information evening aims to showcase our departrment of applied science and computing.
It is a unique opportunity for you to come along and see our state of the art training facilties - laboratories, a working process training plant with control room, IT Labs and other college facilities.
There will be demonstrations run by students which will provide an insight into the practical student experience in this exciting and innovative department.
You will also have the opportunity in a relaxed and informal atmoshpere to speak to former students about their college experience, college staff about course choices and modern apprenticeships and local and national employers about potential employment opportunities.
Target audience - pupils S1-S6, parents, guardians, teachers, guidance teachers, careers advisers and anyone who may have an interest in finding out about the world of science and computing.

Impress your kids become a Maths Wizard
New Course - Helping your kids with their Maths Homework by Katrina Blair
This new course is aimed to give parents or guardians of children in primary 5 to second year at high school the confidence in maths in order to support pupils with their maths.
The course will cover the basics of fractions, percentages, long multiplication and also show you how to study skills that young people can use.
The course starts Thursday 5 February 19.00 - 21.00 cost of £42

Computing with a difference
Computing Club 4 Girls by Fiona Jackson
Do you know any 9 - 13 years olds? Do they get bored at nights and looking to learn new skills and making new friends? Then they should come to the Free Computing club 4 girls.
If you know girls interested in Celebrities, Design, Dancing, Fashion, Music, Photography, then CC4G is for them?
This is all achieved through fun activities and gives girls a chance to get involved in the IT side of Design, Music, Photography whilst making new friends.
This Free club runs from on a Tuesday evening 6.00 - 8.00 at the Falkirk Campus.

New Course
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MDST) By Vivien Gallacher
Industry, for qualified helpdesk professionals - IT managers face a constant challenge recruiting and training qualified professionals to ensure consistent, high quality helpdesk support.
The MCDST course has been designed to address this demand and help employers readily identify qualified individuals to close this gap. The qualification will get you started in your IT career by ensuring you have the skills to successfully troubleshoot desktop environments running onthe Microsoft Windows operating system.
This New course covers the knowledge and understanding for the exams leading to the Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification.
The course starts 3 February 2009 on (Tuesday's and Thursday's) 18.00 - 21.00.
The cost £255.
